Ten stretched used bed sheet combinations over improvised wooden frames. Five made in plain air compositions of the mid section of Mt Taranaki, as viewed from a hill by the beach in Fitzroy, New Plymouth. Near where the I lived. Five left plain, in response to the stretched sheets themselves taking over in importance. The series was a response to my need to find employment, earn a crust, so going out into the public 'market' I tried to create value I could afford.
