the way capitalism mines shakespears lifes a stage idea, so that bad performances simple don't exist
I use to perform simply out
of the idea that that was the kind of world I wanted, where people
performed, not well, but as they were, with what was there. The back
wash of shakespears success is that I have a stage where there is none.
Capitalism mines this stage, and it invades where there is no stage.
There is no success in a bad performance under capitalism, there can be
no successful transmission of bad performances, they fail, they cease to
exist as currency in the winning picture capitalism can only afford to
pitch. All the time, so that the losing part is told be 'others',
creating a gap where mystery keeps hysteria and a boundary to any lay
persons interest. As a too hard basket. - tw
