Lorina Stacey Schwenke As a % of GDP - health expenditure is always lower with a Labour government
I can explain why this is - but it is a long story
Just have a look at this graph

Zuben Weeds many sectors not just medical are experiencing shortages ... I don’t know but there seems to be a global pandemic also 2 years ... Aotearoa is a blessed country with universal healthcare... yes some treatments need to be funded/fully ... but with a small economy... it’s not possible ... hopefully in time ... ask a person in a third world country if they would trade places ...

Lorina Stacey Schwenke Almost half of psychiatrists report wanting to leave their jobs in the face of the soaring demand for mental health services. A report by the Association of Salaried Medical Specialists found three quarters of psychiatrists have reported an increase in their caseloads, and on the demands of on-call work in the last three years. Cases are also becoming increasingly complex. And despite the number of people experiencing psychological distress increasingly significantly in the last decade, the numbers of staff, acute beds and availability of respite care have not increased correspondingly. For the medical specialists at the coalface of this mental health crisis, it presents a stressful and challenging workplace, with no signs of positive change. Kathryn speaks with Dr Charlotte Chambers, the report's author and the Director of Policy and Research at the Association of Salaried Medical Specialists.
Just another "Oh Dear" daily stories

Zuben Weeds understandable too... Aotearoa is a very unique country ... culture needs to be intertwined with treatment .... not that they don’t know that already ... but I’m interested to see how Harry Tams initiative goes with the MM .... I believe it is a winner :.. the 501’s have created a huge problem... something that key didn’t care about in 2014 when Turnbull started this policy/ changed it ... according to key everyone was a rapist .... displacement is a huge issue and loss of identity .... grassroots initiatives....

    Are they all doing "OK"?

Lorina Stacey Schwenke Never ever tell a Maori boy from Te Tii [Ngati Rehia] with 3 Phds that he is spreading misinformation!
I know that [you] and others are pissed when I start getting into the detail - that is my life - getting into detail and doing the long hours of research
Always admit that you are wrong when you make a mistake - I make mistakes - but I did not make any in my origianl claim that started this off
It was deliberately confronting - because people just do not want to know the truth
If Luxon was PM - I would also give him a rev up if he carried on with the same policy settings
Ardern is the friend of wealthy capitalists - always has been - she worked for Tony Blair

Haha ( 🥴...) but in the context of what Tao sent yes... it’s very black and white ... but is also a global problem.... I hope you can find something good with Ardern she is a pakeha leader trying her best in an indigenous country ... I stand by that!

[1] Covid is not finished yet
[2] Inequality exists and is getting much, much worse with Ardern as PM
[3] It is not my role to "see the good in Ardern" - it is my role to do analysis and be a good citizen by presenting analyses whether the "Ardernn Fan Club" likes it or not.
Check out the numbers for property assets - this hurts renters, workers and beneficiaries - at least 50% of us - and these numbers are actually getting out of date - it has gotten worse
    [July, 2021]
The median house price has gone up by $181,000 in the last 12 months.
This is approximately $500 a day.
This is ~$87 every working hour for a 40-hour week
The house you are trying to buy is increasing faster than you can earn, if you earn less than $87 an hour
It is worse than that because you need to pay tax on wages.
You need to earn ~$130 an hour (and have no expenses) to earn enough to keep up with the house price increases.
The National Government led by John Key got lambasted for an annual house inflation of 8%.
    It is now 29%.
The Large-Scale Asset Purchasing program by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand that started in 2020 contributed to this “runaway” house-price inflation.
    But do we care?
Those people who own property would say – “good on you RBNZ”. And those people who rent would say – “help!”
This inequality and "polarisation of society" into (1) those who have and (2) those who ‘have not’ is part of the Neoliberal Project that is ongoing. Indeed, Neoliberal supporters (who never self-identify) want inequality. People may ask - Why?
Neoliberal Theory: Poverty and hardship are incentives for individuals to get themselves out of poverty. The government does not need to intervene with this powerful incentive. This is part of the self-directing system.
Neoliberal Belief: There is no such thing as “The Poverty Trap” in the Neoliberal Doctrine, and this is why I argue that this doctrine is “unkind”. Nevertheless, even self-proclaimed “kind people” (including Jacinda Ardern) appear to comply with this unkind thesis.
I can also argue that The Green Party Aotearoa does nothing to challenge Jacinda Ardern and her Labour colleagues. For example, The Greens continue to support Budget Surpluses and the ongoing, chronic disinvestment in the Non-Government sector where ‘the people’ live and try to survive.
This is sometimes called, “The Politics of Austerity”. This politic disadvantages some people and ‘advantages’ other people in society – this is typically “The Rentier Class” who extract ‘rent’ from people who have to work for their income.
Just study "Class Analysis" and you may suddenly realise that Ardern does nothing to help certain "classes" of society - but the Renteir Class always does well when Jacinda Ardern is in charge.
Keep reading and talking to people who do not benefit from PM Ardern's policies.
And I reiterate - Covid is not finished - so let us see what happens when we get to "Freedom Day" - let us see what happens at the Checkpoints - let us see what happens in 2022 - and "The People" will decide at the next election.
I'm am sorry - I will never see the good in any politician when we still have a neoliberal paradigm and Public Choice Theory.
If you still believe that we don't live in a world dominated by neoliberal epistemology - then you are very naive
I reiterate: I don't support any political party when we still have Rechstsstaat.
    New Zealand examples of Rechstsstaat
Public Finance Act 1989 [ enacted by a Labour government]
Reserve Bank Act 1989 [enacted by a Labour government]
This is how The Neoliberal Thought Collective restricts democratic processes - and politicians like PM Ardern still seem to think that restricting democracy is OK!
    That is just bullshit!

Zuben Weeds you do realise Jacinda is left with keys huge mess ... so to blame the current government is actually wrong ... her 4th year in and she is making changes to the different infrastructure across different portfolios... key left them high and dry .... she is currently building the most houses since any government in the 70’s... if national didn’t sell all those state houses then there wouldn’t be such a huge problem today ... you also have Ardern totally wrong ..... she has stopped the selling of assets ie property to overseas buyers something John key absolutely loved ... which bumped up the prices and made the Aussie banks rich and he won an award for making them billions .. new money new customers rich customers .... contribute to the current housing crisis... she quickly put a stop to that ... a huge turning point for Aotearoa and something it hasn’t recovered from besides key is the 15% gst that he put upon kiwis in 2010.... Jacinda has a capital gains tax in place has changed negative gearing has landlord WOFs for their rentals ... renters have more rights .... it’s clear lux is after power ... Jacinda is patriotic has been in politics all of her life ... it’s not about power for her it’s about creating change that will affect the lives of all kiwis in a balanced and fair way .:. And it’s really sad that you can’t see that .: and you think she can wave a magic wand and miraculously things can change just like that ...and it’s also very naive to think that way ::. Key was in for 9 years ... he totally stuffed up Aotearoa.... the pandemic has created labour shortages in many sectors ... and also meant building has been put on hold .... supplies are backlogged ... name any other leader that Aotearoa has ever had in the hot seat that has done a better job .... she is saving Aotearoa... and doing a great job! You don’t need even one PHD to see that!

Lorina Stacey Schwenke News story from today on RNZ National
PM Ardern needs to change the system [neoliberal system] and come up with a plan for a new system
Until PM Ardern comes up with a plan [there are heaps floating around] - then she is just the one that will get all the hate - because folk are struggling to survive - denying that people are struggling is foolish.
If it was another PM - they would also be getting the hate that is spilling over because poverty and struggles are real - and I sense "The People" have had enough.
It is time for a new approach - not just tinkering around the edges with Neoliberalism

Lorina Stacey Schwenke John Key didn't give us neoliberalism
David Lange and Roger Douglas gave us neoliberalism - and nobody voted for it in 1984
I think you may be younger than me - I was born in 1973
Please watch the documentary - it will show you that John Key had nothing to do with "The Reforms" after 1984 - John Key is a dickhead - but ALL politicians are dickheads with a neoliberal system [my point]
