Ever heard of a Doula? I cant recomend getting one enough. If you know someone who is going to have a child, ask them "who is your doula?" check out these statistics:
31% decrease in the use of Pitocin*
28% decrease in the risk of C-section*
12% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth*
9% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief

Artists Against Copyright Infringement Eat Corporate Shit and Garrote Our Collective Neck of Survival
For
my money, artists that go on about “"Copyright infringement exacts a
large toll, a very human one, on the artists and businesses whose
livelihood hinges on their creative inventions." you are bleeding the
world dry for your shitty ego. You're just greedy, righteous and suckers
to the game. I'm calling it. Copy me.

サンセリフ コミック The main reason copyright laws are the way they are is because of Disney and other media conglomerates. They used to only exist as an encouragement for creators to produce more content, lasting about 30 or so years iirc, now they exist to benefit corporations. Who is supposed to benefit from that extra 70 years after the creator's death?
サンセリフ コミック Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Copyright law started off as a way to ensure artists benefit from their art, rather than it being stolen and the artist being unable to thrive. Now it's just become a way for any huge company to exert force over anything because of some misused word or colour.
Anton L'Etranger what if i invite both of you tocome around and dig up my living room, butyou both have topay a nominal fee?

Kahi Harawira Copyright is bullshit. Information is a right. As for making a little you, well...
Tony Green is it a right to make money in the market-place out of someone else's work -- a result of their thinking -- & thereby infringing on their right to make money from it, if they can -- as for instance selling poor copies of your work, using the prestige of your name [as in the art-market in 17th century Europe -- in Rome, for example, where one poor painter complains that people were ripping him off, makig more out of copies than he made from trying to sell his 'originals' -- or in the 21st century art-market where fake & old copies of Old Masters with 'certificates' written by 'experts' keep on appearing -- etc etc

Sarah Riley-c The Death of the Author
John Philip Cadwallader An extremely debatable concept! The C word! O:)
Tony Green Hogarth's Law was an 18th c version democratic [bourgeois] version of Royal publication privileges as in 16th century. Without it Grub St publishers - corporate, like Disney - were in control of the market for anything 'new'. Publication of text-books and leisure-reading is in the hands of a small number of large corporate conglomerates. In the oil industry patents of possible rival products get bought up & never get to market. Writers & artists of all kinds don't have a show unless they are giving the market what it wants to make money for publishers.
