Fever, Fluids, Food in acute infections. Don't 'sweat it out'. Do not take parecetoml and ibuproen, Don't eat.

This again is shocking, doctors looking at the data the evidence. Conclude overwhelmingly: Do not take paracetamol and Ibuprofen for a fever. Do not sweat it out, the body produces a chemical that retains existing levels of hydration, adding more water creates more problems. Stay warm but don't try to cook the fever as dehydration and too much liquid are both problems. Ride the fever like a wave adding removing warmth as you need it to avoid sweating, the body is in complete control of raising the temp. 40, 41 are ok. You will not cook your brain or your child's. Don't eat food during a fever, takes energy away from fighting the infection.
I've just had Omicron and I was just winging it, but mostly followed this by gut instinct. Nice to see evidence back me up, but far out this is not what I feel like I've been told, by the gov. and registered health professionals.!

There is something of the divine, sublime in the fact that I can listen to 5 to 1, and not see a corporate logo to it, thanks to its nth use as a car advertisement.

hey its actually a SUNday here in wgtn....here's some nice words, for the self-whipping creatives out there....facing the on-coming storms....with a face rash.....( i have a face rash..and i think my car is about to die. what is the lesson..?! ).....Sometimes i think it is get a job that pays a decent hourly rate, and say farewell to art, cos so often i feel like i have reached the end of the line. But then the planet would appreciate one less car, and we are like the planets face rash....so either way, take me universe, to the bus stop...i am lucky i have feet. xx

    I'll forgive them in heaven

  • Karl Jensen
Wells Tao Joe Rogan is not "non-mainstream", he's absurdly overpaid and has years of experience on old commercial broadcast formats hyping bug eating and UFC. He's incredibly entitled and stupid because he IS so mainstream.

yeah I struggle with this weird idea, around political purity, about the picture of a flawed whole person vs themselves as a clean commodity, more likely to be licensed the right to speak. Pixie's did a credit card commercial right at the time I was learning about how cards were handed out to avoid paying to the workers, what computers increase of productivity were paying out. !970's in the US, 1990's here in NZ. Still can't listen to them with out seeing a smiling demented genius Black Francis, rubbing his hands, finally getting paid.

    not the pixies...argh. ha. x

something about how the Doors, and Bill Hicks, draw a shakey but visible line, between commercialism and their need to make money continues to inspire me. But the 'purity' rap also troubles me.. perhaps it's used to deligitimize but also an indication that the relationship needs examining. Like how Walk Whitman being a fucking racist, changes his poetry. In an important way, that I feel adds to it.

"a vicious six-year legal battle in which Densmore tried to stop Manzarek and the band’s guitarist, Robby Krieger, from touring under the Doors name as well as selling the band’s music for use on a Cadillac commercial. “I know. I sued my bandmates – am I CRAZY?!” he yells. People certainly thought he was. It is not usual to spend years in court trying to stop yourself from earning millions of dollars to prove a point about the value of artistic integrity over the pursuit of money. “What can I say? Jim’s ghost is behind me all the time,” Densmore says. “My knees were shaking pretty strong when they upped the offer of $5m (£3.8m) to $15m. But my head was saying: Break on Through for a gas-guzzling SUV? No!”
