Rangituhia Hollis

Rangituhia Hollis Should also include the cost, tofu is cheaper right? I'd rather have a bigger feed that cost less.

Rangituhia Hollis Reckon it's about the need for a cheaper alternative. Something that's going to sustain a poor whanau, and liberate funds for other purposes. While still providing sustenance.

Wells Tao Rangituhia Hollis yeah I like that,... where does our environment and the damage done to it for immediate gang, the price our children and for ever more is going to pay for our profit now, extracted out of our shared resource.. what is the price of meat and milk. And why? Why is it not cheaper!!!

Emily Van Oosterom No one died? Not even the rainforest creatures whose habitat was destroyed to grow the soy beans? The little creatures that dies during mechanical harvesting? The lab animals that were killed during gmo crop development? It’s not really that simple.

Wells Tao Again. such economic use of argument. To simply state the obvious counter point of view. A drew 'appearnce" of so said "democratic particiaption" when what is it really, but a knee jerk reactionism to a simple logic assumption, perpetuated by a iimited assumed base. What if that assumption was to self educate. And eliminate the need for oppostion in logic, and reason, but a joining and extending the potential of what already is on the table. You're not going to saw off your arm to save Palistine, we've been through that, you siad you would, but once we started you chickened out. Ok, we 've made a deal, you get your privlidge we'll take your' lack of power and the means to organie against it, knee capped by perpetuated logic tropes of for and against, yeah and nah, etc etc.

Robyn Conway We need to be looking at how all of our food is produced. Smaller scale food farming is the solution but we're still faced with the dominance of huge corporations who do most of the destruction to landscapes and forests, water supplies, labour without unions etc etc

Wells Tao If we can invest in office ecology and management, we can invest in natural resources ecology and management. But as the 1080 discussion is evidence of, we have a system of determining likely hood by default, and since the definitively end of science, physics or any other 'public idea' that's been privitaised ssince 9/11 twothousand and one (3, 000 civilian combatants american killed for, pick a number for rest of world..) . on evidence you can play back over and over, and yet is made completely invisible by the will of the masses believeing that science said that it's some how possible for a building to fall at almost the speed of gravity, free fall, despite the friction collapsing floors would naturally create the delay impacting would naturally create unless what was soldid before impact was made powder. We know the science, the basic physics, but still the mainstream of the public, that who know science, will not put their hand up and do the Chelsea Manning Is Free dance. So Excuse me if I don't get so excited about, what were we talking about...

Ashley Smith Not at all sure about tofu - it is made of soy - most of which is GMO and the manufacturing process is dirty and uses enormous amounts of water and power.
