I was raised by all the mothers (and one or two fathers) of my close friends from primary school. I'd list your names here, but public politics being what they are I don't wish to endanger them with any connection to my public stance on suppressed issues. My parents could act really loving, but there was no love there. Plenty of contracts and deals though. I have strong memories of the feelings, of this realization, when I felt the difference between scripts delivered saying things like 'unconditional love' and the actual practice of it, the living it as it is, version. The acceptance and understanding I received in these sphere's went on to fuel a life time of critical dissent and public questioning of my own position within a White poisoned patriarchal fascist capitalist ecocide power. Trading in a seat at the table, to sit with the "unclean, unworthy", and throw my shoulder to the wheel of making visible, the suppressed manifestation of a Democratic Socialist welfare state, free from Capitalism. It's an idea.
