Criptic Critic Conscience and Known for it

there's a long history of artists topping themselves, or removing themselves from tyrannical capitalist culture, when the penny truly drops that all their work is only something rich people can buy, and as such perpetuates their corrupt control. From Rothko's despair or Edvard Munch, to the likes of our own Doris Lusk, hated selling their work to the rich, dreamed of public galleries that would hold and show it all. And at their deaths, surrounded by thousands of works, that they needed to live with, wouldn't depart with. There's a nation of us, with out representation.
